Review and Praise:
“At age 44 I realized I was waiting to die…not
getting busy living. The Dash’s message had a profound
effect on my life. Scared and excited I packed up my house and
moved to the area (another state) I had wanted to live in…and once
I made the decision…took action and walked though the door and
began living my dash. I have been reborn…thank YOU Linda!”—C.
Williams of Everett, Washington
“I initially ordered two cases of The
Dash thinking at first they would be special gifts for special
people. Then it began to work on me in a profound way and I began
giving them to everyone. Why? Because my own vision was uplifted
and clarified and I realized that I know no one who was not a
special person deserving of a special gift. Mac, we are beyond
grateful for everything you do and everything you are.”—James
Bowman of Stevens Point, Wisconsin
“The Dash will change the way you think
about life. Once you read it, you’ll never forget it.”—Ron
Beshear of Cincinnati, Ohio
“I like the fact that more inspirational stories
have been added to this wonderful book. I have given this book to
many friends who have lost loved ones or who are struggling with
the meaning in their lives. I find it very uplifting for all to
read and gives us a chance to reevaluate our purpose in
life.”—Anne Wayne of Passaic, New Jersey
About the Authors:
ELLIS had this to say about her popular poem “The Dash” :
While it still amazes me, a simple poem I wrote one afternoon
forever changed my life. It all began when I faxed a copy of this
poem to a syndicated radio show in Atlanta. Soon after receiving
it, the host of this popular show read it on the air. Little did I
know how much my life would change from that day forward. Titled
“The Dash,” these 36 lines have touched millions of lives and have
literally taken on a life of their own by traveling all over the
world. I call it uncomplicated poetry in a complicated world, which
became the slogan for my internet poetry company,
People are always asking me what, in particular,
inspired me to write this poem. I believe it was a combination of
things in my life at the time. It was during a period when I was
working for the top executives of a very large and successful
corporation. It was a strict company with a tense working
environment. I began to watch how the priorities in many lives
there had become misaligned. It seemed to me that the bosses were
worrying far too much about that which was inconsequential in the
scope of life. Also, resonating in the back of my mind were the
words from a letter which had been previously routed around the
office. It had been written by the wife of an employee who was
aware that she was dying. I was so moved by that letter that I
saved a copy of it and continue to live by her words:
“Regrets? I have a few. Too much worrying. I
worried about finding the right husband and having children, being
on time, being late and so on. It didn’t matter. It all works out
and it would have worked out without the worries and the tears.” To

This was the best read - I have been traveling thru life the last 6 years after losing my life partner of 45 years. This book was left on a table during a work break and those 15 minutes were life changing - it put into words how I was trying to live my life and all of a sudden I was at peace with my life. I do not know who the book belonged too, but I am so lucky it fell into my life - I have ordered "The Dash" for my dearest friends and know it will be good for all of us. Thank You.
From Delmar Everett of Lebanon, Ohio on 1/7/2014.

I received my first copy of the Dash from a friend after the death of my parents. This book is life changing! I have purchased many copies and have now given away 11 copies to family and friends. Some of them have told me of the life changing effects in their lives. Linda Ellis's poem was truly inspired!
From Jody Horntvedt of Roseau, Minnesota on 4/4/2013.
This is a wonderful resource (book and DVD) -- though when I use it I find myself "hanging" at the end when the music stops so abruptly (which actually takes away the effect the message is having). If there would be an opportunity for you to transition the ending more smoothly this would be an even better product!!
From Trisha of Magnolia, Texas on 3/28/2013.
This the second time I have used this book as a bereavement gift/sympathy card. I love the message and how it is so beautifully put together for this book. Both of my friends have told me several times how much this book, its message and the beautiful poem means to them and they have thanked me for sending this at time when comforting words are needed.

I had purchased the original Dash and after reading I share it with my cousin who told me she was never giving it back to me. So when I saw this new one I had to have it. I could not put it down once I started....The stories that was added from others that have read the original Dash all brought me to tears every page I read....My mother saw me reading it and I was crying and she asked me what was wrong, after finishing it I let her read it, she told me on Saturday that I will need to buy another again because I will not be getting it back. I think I will have to purchase a case.
From Vici Mobraaten of Eau Claire, Wisconsin on 2/22/2013.
