I originally bought the book for myself and was so moved by it -I decided to share it with my 25 year old son. He had the privilege of dealing with some extreme life changing events and we all struggle with sometimes seeing our glass as half empty - but the book lays out how possible it is to find solutions to our problems really is simply how we view everyday situations which makes a huge difference when we're able to accomplish this in our day to day...Easy read and inspiring! Thank you!
The Pink Bat
From Jeff of Lancaster, NY, New York on 2/23/2014.
Somewhat disappointing, on the simplistic side. A good message, but thin.
From Rick Hildebrand of Salisbury, North Carolina on 2/23/2014.
We used it in a character classes in out country jail. It stirred the minds of these men to a very positive discussionAmong them . Thank you for a product that can make a difference in lives of people. We have chosen those that seem to be on the bottom needing help to go up and through this life with purpose. Thank you

Not what I was expecting
From Mary of Coupeville, Washington on 2/22/2013.
I really like the premise that this book espouses. Sadly, I felt that I got all of the information I needed about the book from watching the video, and was disappointed that there wasn't more 'meat' to the book. I purchased the book thinking I was going to get even more great and inspiring ideas, and I basically got the video in text form. Yes, there are more details about where the Pink Bat idea came from, but while interesting, the concept was presented effectively in the video. I could have saved the money and just watched the video whenever I needed to be reminded of these concepts.

From Steve Spinner of Decatur, Illinois on 3/19/2012.
Pink Bat is a wonderful illustration on how the mind works. Many, many times we get stuck in the problems of life when the solutions are literally one step away. The choice is ours, as Michael puts it, to live a life in the solutions based mindset or problems based mindset. Well done....

Excellent story. As a middle school educator this story lends itself to teachers finding different and unique solutions to problems we face every year. It is also a great story for helping students understand how to think critically and creatively when attempting to solve their problems.
Pink Bat:Turning Problems Into Solutions

I found Michael McMillian book, PINK BAT fascinating. He helps the reader to think more positively and see posibilities where others do not. His illustrations are wonderful and I liked the smallness of the book. His story in the beginning might have been shortened a little with more exmaples at the end. Thanks for an interesting read and one to lend to friends. John B

When I pick up a Simple Truths product I am usually "blown away" and I recommend your products to all my friends and clients. So my expectations for Pink Bat were set in that light.I was more than a little disappointed with the book and the DVD. The book did not measure up to the quality of some of the other products that I previously purchased. The DVD content was ok but I found the disc itself difficult to load. (thought I was one of those bad computer days) I used several laptops and had the same problem. The book's layout and font size did not measure up to some the better books in your product line. Using the content of the Pink Bat DVD the reader doesn't have a problem, the message comes through loud and clear and Simple Truths has the opportunity to use the premise to take the "problem and provide a solution"Sorry for the negative input The content I would recommend to others and I loved the animation but the overall presentation was not up to your usual high standards.Brian Halliday

Got me to stop limiting the possibilities based on my first impressions. The purpose of a thing doesn't necessarily have to stay the same in order to be useful. Entertaining video.
