The stories in the Finish Strong book are wonderful examples of perseverance. It's very motivating seeing how people triumph against all odds! I recommend this to anyone who doubts he cannot do something.

Another excellent book which I am currently giving to high school students and all have really enjoyed it. To early to tell the amount of impact it is having but their parents and coaches really like it.

When I received "Finish Strong" I was under fire at my job, trying to save a business. I forced the company to take the hardest medicine, saved a product that can save lives, lost my job, nearly lost my wife to medical disaster - 8 months in hospital, and due to that have had immense pressure on our financial situation.
Through all of this, I wear the black bracelet, and run. I never let a day go by without thinking of how to act today, what to do tomorrow and tomorrow. Never give up. Never allow self pity or self belittlement into my life. Realize that the seed of triumph is somewhere in each and every adversity.
I have become stronger. I have become a better person/husband/father/brother/friend/citizen. At age 64 I won the first running race (age group)of my life. At age 65 I successfully ran my first 1/2 Marathon.
My blessed life is clear now. All before has prepared me and made me stronger and able to meet the challenges I know are yet ahead.
Some of us were made to give more later. I have much much more to give. Strength comes to you from what you give to others.

Sometimes life does not always go according to your plan. "Finish Strong" serves as a reminder of that. But, more importantly, it serves as a true testament of the power of a positive attitude and proper motivation. "Finish Strong" serves as a wonderful instruction book for me of how to head down the right path with the right attitude to succeed.
