My mother was one of those women, and my mother-in-law is still one of those women... a civil rights pioneer, her home got bombed by the KKK on three separate occasions and, now, at age 80 has returned to the University of Alabama to finish her Bachelor's degree... extraordinary courage. After I finished your book, I bought 5 autographed copies to send to 5 extraordinary women who I know. One of them, Lisa Doromal, is executive director of the Dress for Success (DFS) affiliate in Phoenix, and it seems to me that there is a natural synergy between what we do at Dress for Success and what you do in your community and for women all over the world.

I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your book. I had gotten it from Simple Truths quite awhile ago, but had never read it until this past week. The stories were very uplifting and heartwarming. I have been a caregiver for my aged parents for several years now. My mom, aged 90, died the end of June so now it is just me and my dad who is 94. I could really relate to one of the stories in your book about the lady who was also struggling with her aged parents. There is joy to be found in it but it does take a lot of work and courage.

So THANK YOU for writing this book and I hope it touches many lives.

The first thing I noticed was that the book is very well made, sturdy, and colorful. Certainly gift quality. The writings inside are encouraging and thought provoking. The DVD has beautiful scenes and and music. It would be nice if these DVD's, only 3 minutes long, would repeat at least once without having to jump up to restart.
